Our commitment doesn’t stop locally—we’re also engaged in meaningful overseas philanthropy, extending our reach to communities in Zambia, Africa.
Orphan Care
In 2006, after years of philanthropic work in Zambia, Gary and Sherry Holbrook founded Orphan Care International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The organization is entirely volunteer-run, and 100% of all donations go directly to its projects.
Orphan Care International supports vulnerable children and communities across Zambia by providing safe homes for orphans, food assistance, medical support, skills training, and clean water initiatives.
This past year, more than 5,000 children benefited from our programs, including six new boreholes that brought clean water to local communities. The plans for 2026 focus on construction of 10 boreholes for rural schools in Zambia and additions to our skills-training center in Lusaka.
